Volunteerism begins with compassion and the desire to serve. In classrooms, volunteers are “the living hands and eyes of the bodhisattvas,” guiding children with patience and understanding, helping to plant seeds of Dharma in the next generation.
Service builds confidence, deepens friendships, and connects you to the temple community while deepening one’s own learning and practice of the Dharma. Teaching children lets the Dharma take shape through example.
